Remembering Jackie

Pulling fashion styling from Jacqueline Kennedy is a constant tradition. Her elegant classic styling can be seen in trends constantly. Jackie is one of my fashion role models and her styles capture my attention because of the simple femininity. Did you know that her iconic pearls were sewn into her dresses so they would not fall into her face bending over? This classy ladies fashion sense was spot on and will live forever.

Perfect Pouf Every Time

Ever feel like you can never get that perfect volume or pouf? Well I know from experience that thick slippery hair is sometimes hard to get to stay voluminous, even with tons of hairspray. This great trick is sure to help keep your bump up and frustrations low! (I tried it and it works!)

Stuffed Jalapenos Poppers

In North Carolina I experienced Jalapenos poppers, a little different than this recipe since they're deep fried. I came across this healthier version and finally tired it this past summer. A great alternative to the deep fry! Also, if you're not big into spicy, which i am not, they were mild and do-able. A great party appetizer dish to make you a hot commodity at any party! No pun intended.

Pesto Mexican Peppers

My mother, who is a fantastic cook, makes stuffed peppers. This dish is always one that turned me off since her version involved meat prepared like meatloaf, which didn't help because meatloaf is my least favorite dish. I came across this Mexican version of stuffed peppers with fun add-ons! One great ingredient included are crushed tortilla chips which give the meat a great texture and flavor (try lime flavored chips for more of a lime hint!). Also, when I prepare this dish mix up the color pepper you prepare! Also provide additional add-on's for the end such as sour cream, guacamole, shredded cheese and everything to make it the full Mexican cuisine!

Panera's Coveted Mac&Cheese

Who doesn't love Panera's to-die-for Mac&Cheese? The unique flavor, the way it melts in your mouth...wait, that may be chocolate. Either way, Panera hits the spot when you need something that feels homemade. I am a huge fan and flipping through a food magazine I found the recipe! Get ready for having Panera's tasty meal any time you wish (and for a cheaper price!).

Panera Mac&Cheese

1/4 cup butter

1 cup (8 oz) shredded extra-sharp white cheddar cheese
1 tbsp. Gijon mustard

3. Gradually whisk in milk; cook over medium heat, whisking until mixture thickens and is bubbly. Remove from heat.
4. Add cheeses, mustard, salt and hot sauce, stirring until cheese melts and sauce is smooth.
5. Stir in pasta and cook over medium heat, 1 minute or until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with paprika if desired. Serve immediately.

Be Your Own Princess in Anthropologie's Unique Bridal Wear

Long before a girl gets a ring on her finger, or let alone a man, a girl searches for her dream wedding gown. You know you do it! Personally, I look for something unique and above the norm but still somewhat traditional. When I read a recent article on Anthropologie's branch of bridal I was more than thrilled expecting great things! You know what I found? Nothing but exceptional designs. I was also stunned to find the gowns were not marked up as much as I originally expected. They were modestly priced for a brand with a usual high mark up.
