I'm an avid custom card maker! I love the unique feel and
message of a homemade card. You can say what you want to that special someone
in also the design you want as well. If you're the type of person who needs
some inspiration, the best place to look are home/ craft magazines and
obviously Pinterest! The great thing I love most about homemade cards is that
they don't need to be elaborate (some of mine have been and are a lot of work,
but pay off!)
The best place to start if you don't already scrapbook is to go
to Michael's and buy a 50 sheet pack of scrapbook paper (preferably in a
generic cute design for all kinds of cards) and a pack of colored solid paper
for over lays and other cutouts. Then find your inspiration! You always have to start with what you want to convey
to your reader. Make it witty such as you want to say: "I'll love you
forever." you could say "Owl love you forever" and put the ever
popular owl on your card. "You
rock" could be illustrated with a guitar on the front. Get outside the box
of generic and play around! I promise you're in for a real treat!
